Situation:
120 km north of Cotonou, in the heart of the old administrative district of the historic capital of the kingdom Fon, Abomey.

| This hostel, located at the roundabout in front of the prefecture, is ideally placed. This former colonial administration has several handsome buildings located in a park planted many trees serving as shelter for birds. The architectural ensemble is the best taste
From the Auberge, it is easy to go on a visit of the old royal palaces that are being restored. Those of king Guézo and king Glélé are already opened to the public. Their visit will give a very good glimpse of what the life in "royal" Abomey was like during the rule of the Fon monarchy. It is also possible to visit the recently discovered underground site of "Agongouinto". In war time this place was used as a secret hideout for the royal families. The Lama and Lokoli forests, home of many endangered animal species including the red bellied monkey can be visited by canoe. The two forests are now protected.
On special occasions, it is possible to be admitted to the courts of kings Agoli-Agbo and Béhanzin.
Our hostel includes:
Two restored old, colonial buildings. One is now used as bar / reception as well as 4 air conditioned rooms. In the back of a big garden, the other building counts 4 ventilated rooms. Whilst waiting for the construction of a big thatched roofed restaurant under the mango trees, the meals are taken on the terrace on the front of the Auberge. International TV stations can be watched thanks to a satellite aerial. A swimming pool will be built shortly.
